Scent booster
In-wash beads that add long-lasting fragrance to laundry on top of detergent.
Scent boosters are small dissolvable beads added to the empty drum before clothes. They work alongside (not instead of) detergent and softener, releasing fragrance through the wash that lingers in fabric for weeks.
Rinse aid
Dishwasher additive that helps water sheet off dishes to prevent spots and streaks.
Rinse aid lowers the surface tension of water in the final dishwasher rinse, so water runs off glassware and cutlery instead of beading. The result is faster drying and fewer water marks.
Surfactant
The active ingredient in most cleaners that lets water lift oils and grime.
A surfactant (surface-active agent) has one end that grips water and another that grips oil. That dual nature is what lets detergents, sprays and dish liquids pull greasy soils off surfaces and suspend them in water to be rinsed away.
Planogram
A diagram showing exactly where each product sits on a retail shelf.
Planograms are scaled shelf layouts that tell merchandisers which SKU sits in which facing, at what shelf height, and how many facings deep. Xtra Kleen publishes one-, two- and three-bay planograms for retail partners stocking the range.
EAN / GTIN
The 13-digit barcode that uniquely identifies a retail product worldwide.
EAN (European Article Number), also known as GTIN-13, is the 13-digit barcode scanned at retail checkouts. Every Xtra Kleen SKU has a unique EAN printed on the pack and listed on its product page.
Inner pack / outer pack
Wholesale terms for the count of units inside a sub-carton (inner) and a master carton (outer).
Inner pack is the number of consumer units in a smaller sub-carton (often the shelf-ready tray). Outer pack is the total in the master shipping carton. Retailers use these numbers to plan ordering and replenishment.
B2B vs B2C
B2B sells to other businesses (wholesale, retail buyers); B2C sells direct to consumers.
Xtra Kleen operates both ways: B2B (wholesale supply through PJ SAS Trading to retailers and operators) and B2C (the same products on shelves for everyday shoppers).
Eucalyptus oil cleaner
A cleaner that uses natural eucalyptus oil as a degreasing and deodorising active.
Eucalyptus oil cuts through grease, lifts sticky residues, and leaves a clean Australian-bush scent. It's commonly used in floor cleaners and surface sprays as a gentler alternative to harsh solvents.
Nitrile gloves
Disposable gloves made from synthetic rubber — latex-free, chemical and puncture resistant.
Nitrile is preferred over latex for cleaning and food prep because it avoids latex allergies and resists a wider range of household chemicals.
Bleach-based cleaner
Cleaner containing sodium hypochlorite that disinfects and removes stains by oxidising them.
Bleach cleaners disinfect, whiten grout and tiles, and break down organic stains and mould. Always ventilate, wear gloves, and never mix with ammonia- or acid-based products.
