The GuideThe Xtra Kleen bathroom guide.
Three short reads that cover routine, tools, and small habits that add up.
A simple weekly bathroom routine
Pick one day a week and run the same loop every time. Strip towels and mats first so the laundry is on while you work. Spray the shower, basin and toilet with their matching cleaners and let them sit for a few minutes — that downtime does the real cleaning. Wipe top to bottom: mirrors, taps, surfaces, then floors. Finish with a quick swirl of the toilet brush and a fresh towel rotation. The whole thing takes around twenty minutes once it becomes a habit, and the bathroom never reaches the point where it needs a heavy clean.
Tools that do the heavy lifting
A small kit beats a cupboard full of half-used bottles. Two microfibre cloths (one for glass, one for surfaces), a non-scratch sponge, a dedicated toilet brush, a squeegee for the screen, and a pair of nitrile gloves cover almost every job. Add three core products — an anti-bacterial surface spray, a bleach-based bathroom cleaner, and a clinging toilet gel — and you've got a setup that handles daily wipe-downs and the deeper weekly clean. Keep everything together in a single caddy under the sink so there's nothing to hunt for when it's time to start.
Eco-minded habits that still work hard
Cleaning sustainably isn't about giving up performance. Use concentrated formulas so you ship less water around the country. Choose refills where they exist. Run the bathroom fan during and after a shower to cut mould without extra product. Wash microfibre cloths separately from cottons so they last for years rather than months. And dose properly — most people use double what's needed, which costs more, fades grout faster, and makes rinsing harder. Less product, used well, almost always beats more product used in a hurry.
